Adopt-A-Block consists of team of 5-8 members going out into the surrounding community reaching out to families. With the increasing need of residents in the urban areas, this weekly visitation provides the opportunity to build lasting friendships. Each team adopts a block of 40-50 homes and visits the same homes each month in order to build relationships with their Adopt-A-Block families. Teams mow lawns, clean homes, cover graffiti, complete minor home repairs, visit with the elderly, as well as provide emergency assistance such as food and clothing.
