Dream Center

The North Charleston Dream Center is dedicated to providing resources and opportunities to low income, homeless and under-served individuals and families in North Charleston and Hanahan to move toward self-sufficiency through building relationships, education and training. Our vision is to establish a community of resilient people whose lives have been transformed and they share that with others.

Serve Saturday

On Serve Saturday, teams visit neighborhoods in the North Charleston area to serve the community and to share the love of Christ. They provide essential services in the area such as food, clothing, medical services, and financial counseling. Teams also continue to build spiritual relationships based on mutual respect and caring.

Join us to continue to make a difference in the lives of many families one relationship at the time.

Street Ministry

Our Street Ministry focuses on loving displaced individuals who are currently living in the streets by providing a meal and other essential items. Every Friday we meet to assemble dinner kits and deliver them in the Charleston area. We strive to establish a relationship with our neighbors, show them that the church sees them, and that God loves them.

Dinners are provided or donated by individuals, small groups, or businesses. If you wish to serve or contribute, email Kim Lookabill at paratrooper0708@gmail.com for more information.

Food Pantry

The Dream Center serves the community by meeting basic needs—one of them is food. In collaboration with many serve team members, partners, and the Lowcountry Food Bank we distribute food kits to families. In 2020 alone, we distributed 165,744 pounds of food to 4,458 families. As we continue to serve our neighbors, we hope you can join us in this effort that can change your life and the lives of our neighbors.

e3 Mentoring

Our e3 mentoring program matches youth in upper elementary (3rd grade) through high school (12th grade) with mentors on a one-on-one basis. The goal is to help youth become productive citizens who make positive contributions, good choices, and love God.

You can give the invaluable gift of relationship by changing their perspective of what the world can offer, loving as Jesus did, and creating a safe environment for them to share and feel heard… sometimes it’s as simple as taking a walk, sharing a meal, or just hanging out together!

Single Parent Ministry

At the Dream Center, we believe God has an incredible plan for single parents, and we want to help them through their adversities and challenges. In conjunction with our partners, we provide tools, support, and a space where single moms and single dads are welcomed, encouraged, and empowered. We provide dinners, prayer, and a space through our Sisterhood ministry and men’s small groups.

If you would like to join us, email nchdreamcenter@seacoast.org.
