welcome to long point

Thanks for checking out Seacoast.org! We're glad you're here.

For those of you visiting us online for the first time, welcome. This is a great place to begin experiencing Seacoast Church, even if you've never stepped on our campus. A diverse community of people come together to worship God and experience His power and presence through worship and a Biblical message each week at Seacoast. We are passionate about sharing Christ's love through our actions--caring for one another and positively impacting our communities--and in doing this, lives are being transformed daily. We want yours to be one of them. As one church at thirteen locations, we are committed to helping you and others become fully devoted followers of Christ. Join us on the journey!

Walk the Walk
Monday, October 05, 2009 — Kathy Roseborough

Scott Kinney, Children’s Pastor, Long Point Campus, was honored with the Walk the Walk Award by the Down Syndrome Association of the Lowcountry.  Scott was honored for his work with the special needs community, specifically his vision for the Won by One ministry and the Disability Awareness Conference he spearheaded.  The award was presented to Scott by Gene Carpenter who thanked him for “making the world just a little brighter for our kids.”  Scott’s passion for extending the love and message of Christ to people who are affected by disability, whether it is the disabled person, a family member, or friend, is reaching far beyond Seacoast’s walls and we are blessed to have him.  Congratulations Scott!

Spend this Saturday Morning With Bill Hybels
Wednesday, June 24, 2009 — Josh Surratt

I just wanted to let you know about a great opportunity to get a free preview of the upcoming Leadership Summit that Seacoast church is hosting.  This Saturday at 10:00 in the Warehouse as a part of a Leadership Summit Preview we will be showing Bill Hybels talk on Holy Discontent.  This is a talk he did a couple of years ago at the Summit and has since that time written a book on the subject.  I was there for that talk that day and it had a profound impact on my thinking.  This event will last about an hour, it’s free and we will be giving away some prizes.  So make sure you check it out.

Nic @ Nite
Monday, June 15, 2009 — Kathy Roseborough

Here is what some of the over 400 people who attended Nic @ Nite on June 10th had to say:

“It’s been a crazy busy week, today included. Left work late, had to go to Ladson before the event and was just saying God is in control and I’m not going to worry about being late, rushing and all that I usually do…Then the challenge a bucket full of green mixture of water, food color and flour from head to toe. It was great! I forgot all my adult cares and just enjoyed being outside connecting with the kids and their parents and sharing Jesus with them. The mixture washed out fine in the shower and I’m looking forward to a bigger and better gathering next week.”  S. Armstrong.

“Loads of fun at Nic at Night tonight. Our Kidscoast staff and volunteers are out of there minds. Perfect for the job!” J. Surratt

“We can't wait till next week! My 22 year old son, who I had to drag there, is the one who is super excited about next week. Seacoast is working its magic on him. The Lord is Good!” M. Ellis

“Ya'll did a superd job! It was awesome” G.Hair

“WE had a great time tonight. It was fun to see all the kids running around and getting all messie and wet.” L Pugliese

“Great night! Good job on everything. got hit in the face with a whipped cream pie by her own son after he was turned into a 7-layer burrito. Who knew church could be this fun - memories!” C. Rainwater
